This is an advanced warning that sometime in the next couple of days all accounts on the current InfernoHost server will be moved to a new server. This new server will be located in The Planet datacentre.
Due to recent performance issues with the current server & datacentre, it has become absolutely necessary that all accounts be moved to a new server.
Another email will be sent out when the transferral of all data is underway.
Once this transfer is complete, any changes to your sites on the old server will not be transferred to the new server.
Once all accounts are transferred it will be necessary for you to change your domain’s DNS Nameserver information to point to the new server. Details of these new nameservers will be provided when the data transfer begins.
Once again, here’s how things will work:
1) You will be emailed again when the data transfer is underway. At this time do not make any changes to your site on the existing server.
2) The email will also contain nameserver information – please update your domain’s nameserver entries to point to these new nameservers.
3) Once the DNS has propagated, the site on the new server will be available to everyone.
4) The old server will remain active for approximately 2 weeks, then will be taken offline.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind Regards,
